Core Exams (2 Exams Required)

To fulfill the core certification requirements, pass one exam focused on either Web Application Development or Windows Application Development in the language of your choice preferably VB.NET. Then pass one XML Web Services and Server Components exam.

Elective Exams (1 Exams Required)

In addition to the core exam requirements, you must also pass one elective exam that provides proof of expertise with a specific Microsoft server product.

First Core Exam: 7 weeks - 10 AM to 5 PM -- 49 hours + 1 bonus hour= 50 hours

Second Core Exam: 7 weeks - 10 AM to 5 PM -- 49 hours + 1 bonus hour= 50 hours

Elective Exam:* 7 weeks - 10 AM to 5 PM -- 49 hours + 1 bonus hour= 50 hours

NOTE * : This can also be taken as the core instead of Exam 70-306

Exam Registration

You may take the Microsoft exams at any of more than 1000 Authorized Prometric Testing Centers (APTCs) and VUE Testing Centers around the world. For the location of a testing center near you, call Prometric at 800-755-EXAM (755-3926), or call VUE at 888-837-8616.

The exams are $125 each and you must take them within one year of payment. You can schedule exams up to six weeks in advance or as late as one working day prior to the date of the exam. You can cancel or reschedule your exam if you contact the center at least two working days prior to the exam. Same-day registration is available in some locations, subject to space availability. Where same-day registration is available, you must register a minimum of two hours before test time.
